Paparazzi!

I'm back. Did you miss me? [Thanks to Matt for helping out.]

This is one of our favorite pictures from the wedding. For a minute, it was like we had our own paparazzi. [Thanks to Drew for the photo.]

However, this picture also is evidence that there were quite a few shutterbugs at the wedding. Thanks to those of you who have sent pictures to us from the wedding. But if you have any pictures that you'd like to pass along, please feel free. You know who you are.

What Not To Wear

Sorry there haven't been too many posts these days, but we've been busy with wedding plans and home improvement projects.

We've been getting some questions about the attire for the wedding. Yes, you can wear a Hawaiian shirt. Yes, you can wear shorts. Yes, you can wear sandals. NO, you cannot wear a tie! Hopefully these illustrations will help you out.

Here's what you can't wear:

Here's what you can wear:

(Leis not included).
Check back soon. There should be more coming in the next couple of days.
Also, for those of you staying at the North Maple Inn for the wedding. The hotel is now under new ownership. However, the only thing that has changed is the name of the hotel, which is now the Dolce Basking Ridge. The phone number and the rate still are the same. If you need to see the hotel on the web, go to www.dolce.com.
If you're coming into town on Friday for the wedding, drop us a note. We're having a get-together.

Seems as though someone else is planning big news for our wedding day.

So this is the photo that we used for our save the date card. A little background on it.

It was taken at a Red Sox game against the Orioles at Camden Yards this past April. The game was scheduled to start at 4, but it had poured all day. It finally stopped raining by game time, but everything was delayed until about 6. It was cold and damp.

The thing you can't tell about the photo is that I was just getting over a stomach virus. I was completely miserable. But thank God I stopped to smile for this photo.

So when we picked this photo out, I realized that the people in the background were really distracting. One of the women was wearing an orange poncho that she had bought at the gift shop. So, leave it to Matt to solve my problem. Literally five minutes with the photo and Capture NX, he had the result you see above. Pretty awesome.

I know I'm going to get some crap from my relatives (and others) about me wearing Red Sox stuff. But here's the thing -- I never really liked the Yankees. Did it hurt that Matt and I started dating during their run for the World Series in 2004? Probably not.
